About the NAATI CCL test
The Credentialed Community Language (CCL) test assesses your ability to interpret spoken dialogue between English and another language. Passing earns 5 bonus points toward an Australian skilled migration visa.
The test consists of two dialogues (~300 words each) across different topic areas. Each dialogue has around 8–10 segments. You hear each segment once and have 5 minutes to interpret it — then the next segment plays.
Scoring is based on accuracy of meaning, key terminology, and register. You need to pass both dialogues to earn the points.

Each segment plays once. You then record your interpretation. The next segment plays automatically. This mirrors the exact exam format — no replays.
AI scores each segment
After the dialogue, AI compares your interpretation to the model answer. You see which key terms were hit, which were missed, and an estimated score per segment.
Study and improve
Review your weak segments, study the vocabulary, and redo the dialogue until your score is consistently above the passing threshold.
